i’ve done number seven many times as well. and yes. this is me.

#2 seems like one that would make sense for me, but I don’t this.  I kind of want to try it, now.

I’m about 50/50 on #3, trending away from it.  My friends know me, though.  I have favorites that are on the cheap side.  Plus, I don’t necessarily thumb my nose at beers outright, and am capable of just drinking for the sake of it.

#4: I confuse or catch bartenders off-guard.  

#5: For no good reason, I have yet to personally have Chimay.

In all fairness on #7, I don’t always start the conversations.  I tend to look authoritative when I know what I’m shopping for… apparently even without the beard (although that doesn’t make any sense… clearly).

#8 I’m only resistant to drinking Budweiser brand beers, and that’s the reaction to InBev. St. Louis is already suffering from that takeover.

#9 This is true, when it comes to the more complex-flavored beers that I sometimes drink.

#10 is blatantly me, and I wanted to build up to the proof of that.  The ones that I didn’t mention don’t apply.  My defense of my snobbish behavior mostly relies upon the idea of my liver staying in better (originally typo-ed as “beer”) health from drinking less due to doing so mostly for flavor, and my wallet better loaded for not trying to buy the considerable amount of beer that it would take to make me drunk.  So yeah… my beer snobbery rests more than 50% on my alcohol tolerance level.

I am most assuredly NOT a beer snob, but I know plenty of them.
